An Alternate Reality Game (ARG) serves as an immersive storytelling journey, intricately woven through puzzles and challenges that progressively unveil deeper layers of the narrative. Born during the initial days of the pandemic quarantine, our class frequently sought refuge in the imagined haven of a charming Pennsylvania suburb embodying quintessential small-town charm. Here, they nurtured their collective creativity, expanding and deepening their worldbuilding as a means of temporarily escaping the tumultuous real world. In this richly imagined and multifaceted player realm, our students not only crafted compelling storylines but also meticulously designed the artifacts with which players would engage, transforming themselves into the architects of this captivating alternate universe.
